Dragon Ball Fighters announced for PS4, Xbox One, and PC

According to a press release from Bandai Namco Japan, a new title of the Dragon Ball franchise would arrive in early 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. The peculiarity of this new Dragon Ball whose name is Dragon Ball Fighters is that it is a title of fighting in side scrolling very differentiated of what we are accustomed with the saga of Xenoverse on consoles of new generation and PC. Years and years have passed and the fans of ‘Dragon Ball’ are looking for a new fighting video game based on their favorite franchise and developed by a studio that can really meet their expectations. Well, the prayers seem to have been heard and ‘Dragon Ball Fighters’ has all the features to be that desired game.

Dragon Ball Fighters would be developed by Arc System Works in Unreal Engine 4. This Japanese studio are experts in fighting genre titles and among their most important works are Guilty Gear or Blazblue. In the images we can see that there will be battles of up to three teams, making possible combinations and strategies with the fighters.

According to the producer Tomoko Hiroki, while recent Dragon Ball games have been produced in 3D, they chose a 2.5D aspect because there are some things that can only be done with that style. For example they will do some camera angles that can not be achieved in 2D.

We still do not have much more information about Dragon Ball Fighters, we hope that soon there will be official trailer because it could be one of the titles that might have the most impact in the E3 2017.
