The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be the first game of the series that will feature voice acting in several languages including English, Japanese and other languages of course. Nevertheless and although it is certain that the title will be able to play in several languages, apparently changing the voices and texts will not be so simple.

During a recent interview with Eiji Aonuma, producer of the game, he revealed that The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild will not have options for dual/multiple audio; that is to say that it will not be possible to play the game with voices in, lets say, Japanese, but with its texts in English or any other langauges. If we want to play the title in another language and with other operations then we must change the language of the console completely.

“In the case of the Nintendo Switch, if you change the language of the system, you can change the game to Japanese, but tthis is going to change everything to Japanese. Unfortunately, it is not possible to play with English text, for example, and Japanese voices,” Eiji Aonuma confirmed.

Having said that and if it confirms any other languages dubbing of the game, that means you have to set your Nintendo Switch with that language of your region if you want to enjoy The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with the voices of the actors of your region.
