Engadget has reported some impressions on the final version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in hand to the press for a few hours. The magazine praises various aspects of the game, especially related to the optimization and to the technical sector.

The final build of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Switch has proved much smoother and more stable than the version tested by the press in January. The stuttering problems seen in previous demos have been resolved, also the booting seems very fast: the game took just five seconds to start up, without the need to install the data to disk.

Even load times between areas were “lightning” fast, a clear sign of the good work done by the house of Kyoto.

As revealed earlier, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild requires no installation to be able to play the title on Nintendo Switch. It will be a “plug and play” game.

We are now accustomed to having to make a download when we buy a new game, although the latter is in the physical version. But apparently with the new Legend of Zelda you can directly insert the cartridge into your Nintendo Switch and play right away.

It is very convenient for those who may not have a proper fast connection, enabling you to not have to wait hours before you can play any game.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be available on Switch from 3 March, the same day the game will arrive on Wii U.
