Through the Japanese official website of Nintendo, we have discovered that the version of the game of The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on Wii U will require the mandatory installation of about 3GB of data, operation which is necessary to speed up the uploads. Also, the game exclusive to Switch and Wii U coming on March 3, 2017, will have a size of 13.4GB for the new console the Big N.

Recently, The Japanese official website of the game has revealed information about an installation of 3GB which will be mandatory for the Wii version U. Breath of the Wild will be installed in the internal memory, or on a USB data carrier.

The data may be installed in the internal memory or on an external USB support, in any case, the installation of the file in question, as said, will be mandatory. The game will weigh 13GB for Wii U and 13.4GB for Switch, an important dimension but not impressive when compared to that of many other Triple A titles for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

It is not the first time this happens, so it’s not of a surprise that much. If you remember well, Xenoblade Chronicles X required the installation of an update patch to reduce load times and make the gaming experience more fluid.

Recall that The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild will be available on both Nintendo platforms on March 3, 2017.
