Sega has announced the release date for Yakuza Kiwami, a high-definition remake of the first Yakuza, which was originally released for PlayStation 2 in 2005.
In Europe and America, the release date is August 29. The game will be available in physical and digital format. As for the price, it will cost €34.99. The reserves and the first units have as bonuses a metallic cover.
Simultaneously, Sega has just launched the Yakuza Experience website. In this website you can explore the chronology of Yakuza and also enjoy a digital comic strip. The first of ten editions is dedicated to the events of Yakuza 0.
This gives the opportunity to learn more about the story, the characters and the families in the game starting in 1995, where everything began with ‘Yakuza Kiwami’. As a bonus, the website offers the first 10 pages of the digital comic, including some key moments, from Yakuza 0 ‘to’ Yakuza 6′, which follows in early 2018 for PS4.
This will be the second release of the Yakuza series this year. At the beginning of 2017 Yakuza 0 was released, a prequel to the events of the first game.
Finally, SEGA today presents a new story trailer of ‘Yakuza Kiwami’.
