During an event held at the Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles, SEGA announced that Yakuza Kiwami 2 will arrive in the West this year.

So, the fans of the series will be able to enjoy Yakuza Kiwami 2 from August 28th. In the same way as the previous titles of Yakuza, this sequel will be an exclusive to PlayStation 4.

It is necessary to remember that Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of the original title that was released in Japan in 2006 for PlayStation 2. The new version was completely rebuilt with the Dragon Engine, the same engine that SEGA used in Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.

As it is common in the series, Yakuza Kiwami 2 will have several mini-games like Golf Bingo, an arcade version of Virtual On, the return of Yakuza Cabaret 0 and many more things. In addition, SEGA announced that the scenario will be a faithful representation of Japan.

Although the series is starring Kiryu, in Yakuza Kiwami 2 users will also have the opportunity to play with Goro Majima and know what happened to the character between this sequel and the first part.
