The latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation has announced the remastered editions of Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4 and Yakuza 5 for PlayStation 4, coming in between summer 2018 and spring 2019 in Japan. We also learned that the three titles in question will not be part of a collection, but rather will be published in Japan individually over the next 12 months.

Yakuza 3 will be released in Japan on August 9th, while Yakuza 4 will arrive in the fall, and Yakuza 5 will be released on PlayStation 4 during spring 2019. SEGA has not revealed other details, confirming only that the port will enjoy increased resolution and improvements in general stability.

It is good to specify how it is not a Kiwami style remake but of “simple” remastered editions of the games in question, which should not include new contents of any kind. The three titles will be sold separately but it is not clear whether SEGA has foreseen a digital-only launch or even in retail format.

No confirmation is given at the moment regarding the arrival of Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5 Remaster in the West, however, Yakuza Kiwami 2 will arrive in Europe on 28 August.

At the moment the announcement concerns only the Japanese market, but in the future, it is possible that these remasters will arrive in North America and Europe. After all, all the main chapters have arrived in the western region and the series over the years has created a group of fans even in the West. At most, if we consider almost two years of waiting for the sixth chapter, we will have to wait a long time.
