Yakuza 0 has arrived a few days on Steam, marking the debut of the historic Sega series on PC. The system of saving the game, which allows you to save progress only at certain checkpoints, was not liked by its players who have found a simple alternative.
To enable an additional menu in Yakuza 0 among the options and save at any time you will not have to do anything else. Just follow the steps below to manually save game anywhere:
1. Make sure that ‘hidden files’ are showing in Windows.
2. Go to Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Sega\Yakuza0.
3. Open settings.ini and change SaveAnywhere=0 to SaveAnywhere=1.
4. You will now be able to access a ‘save’ option in the settings menu.
It should be noted that this method is not official and, therefore, could present some problems as reported by some users on Reddit. We, therefore, recommend that you make a backup of the save games before proceeding with the changes in question and, more importantly, never save in the course of a fight. Saving in the middle of a fight will inevitably cause the corruption of your save data.
We remind you that, according to some rumors, Yakuza 6 The Song of Life could arrive on Steam in the next few months. A recent video shows, instead, the gameplay of the PlayStation 4 version of Yakuza 3 HD.
