Monolith: Xenoblade Chronicles X on Nintendo Switch “Would Be Really Difficult”

Speaking in an interview with USgamer, the co-founder of Monolith Soft, Tetsuya Takahashi, is back to talk about the possible porting of Xenoblade Chronicles X to Nintendo Switch, stating that the operation would be very challenging because of the development costs required.
“Well, the future at present is unclear. Personally speaking, I’d love to play the game on the Switch, but it would be really difficult to make it. Money. It’s a massive game. Re-creating it would be really difficult,” declares Tetsuya Takahashi, suggesting that the Xenoblade Chronicles X port to Nintendo Switch still remains a difficult idea.
Recall that Takahashi had already expressed the desire to bring the game on Switch last year, stating that the feasibility of porting “will depend on demand and such, but I will think about it while discussing future plans with Nintendo.”
Speaking instead of the last chapter of the series released on the hybrid console, the success of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has managed to exceed sales expectations even in the West, gaining appreciation from the public and critics. Nevertheless, Tetsuya Takahashi himself stated that at the moment there is no plan to continue the series, with Monolith Soft already focused on other projects and new games to be created.
