A few months ago, Tetsuya Takahashi, co-founder and director of Monolith Soft, said that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was almost certain to debut this year on Nintendo Switch. However, some followers of the franchise were skeptical of the developer’s words, as Monolith Soft has shown only a few captures and a short video of the game, which was announced in early 2017.
During the presentation of the latest financial results, Nintendo has once again confirmed that the launch date of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is expected by 2017 on Nintendo Switch.
Despite this, there are very scarce information we possess at the time of the follow up RPG series of Monolith Soft announced during the presentation dedicated to Switch.
What we can do is wait for Nintendo to definitively reveal its plans for the publication of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, perhaps taking advantage of the stage at E3 2017 in Los Angeles.
The soundtrack of the title, meanwhile, has already been completed, as stated a few weeks ago by the composer Yasunori Mitsuda; while a British retailer has reported the launch window (not confirmed) this autumn.
We are talking about the British retailer Argos, that on the page dedicated to pre-order of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 reported a release date of Fall 2017 (as you can see in the image above). Since there may be a simple placeholder, we invite you to take this information with a pinch of salt, while waiting for some official details from Nintendo.
