In accordance with the promise, Firaxis Games announced that the critically acclaimed strategy game XCOM 2 is now available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The version of XCOM 2 for consoles is now available from yesterday on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In addition to the base game, players can purchase the DLCs and the season pass of the Firaxis title, which includes new personalization options and more.
This version was developed by third-party, The Workshop studio, and has a season pass called Reinforcement Pack, which adds new units and missions for $25 USD. There is also a deluxe edition that costs $75 USD.
XCOM 2 comes to the islands after a short delay to “ensure that the game was completely polished” and is the result of a partnership with developer The Workshop, which “helped Firaxis solve several bugs and other problems” in the PC version and commanded the transition to PS4 and Xbox One.
Originally Firaxis planned to launch this title exclusively for PC, but the good response from fans convinced the creative director, Jake Solomon, to bring XCOM 2 on the next gen consoles. Now, the studio is committed to launch more free and paid DLC for the game.
To celebrate the occasion, 2K Games has released the launch trailer respective to the game that allows us to appreciate all that we can enjoy in this sequel.
