The ability to give games to friends and family through the Microsoft store was one of the most anticipated and appreciated features of all Xbox owners.
The update for the Alpha Insider distributed about three weeks ago had already anticipated this possibility, and today officially the option has extended to all owners of an Xbox One console.
The new system allows users to send gifts directly from the console to friends and relatives. You can then buy games, additional content, subscriptions to Xbox Live and Games Pass and donate it to other players.
The procedure is very simple at the time of purchase at the Microsoft store, just click on the “Buy As Gift” button and select the person to whom you want to send the gift.
If the gift is not appreciated for any reason, a 25-digit code will be sent to the recipient via email to get the refund through the console. Excluded from this new gifting system, of course, there are pre-ordering of games, backwards compatible titles and all the consumable elements.
The upgrade that introduces the new gift system should already be available in these hours on all Xbox One consoles.
