Xbox One Fall Update shown in a new video with Webcam support and New Guide
In a new video series of This Week On Xbox, Microsoft has previewed a taste of the Xbox One Fall Update – so as to speak – which will introduce support for third-party webcams, and more.
Major Nelson, also known as “Larry Hryb”, the Xbox Senior Program Manager Harrison Hoffman and Xbox Program Manager Ranika Kerjrival spoke broadly in this clip about the upcoming update which is coming next week.
Recently, Phil Spencer, the boss of Xbox, had spoken about the widespread use of backward compatibility, another very dear subject to Redmond’s giant, denying its poor use by gamers.
Among the novelties we find the possibility to move the blocks of the homepage of Xbox to put your favorite games in a more central position, in addition to the new guide and the submenus with more information available on a certain theme without leaving the gameplay.
Xbox Assist will also be introduced, a feature that will provide support on achievement and technical issues, as well as suggestions of various nature on the Xbox One experience. Last but not the least, with this update, you will unlock the use of webcam of third parties; so streaming and using Skype will no longer be related to Kinect.
At the same time, always in optical transmission, the broadcast and capture menu has been completely revisited with several unpublished features.
