Microsoft announced that starting from yesterday, and for a limited time, the Xbox One (500GB model) will cost $249 USD in the United States. Apparently the company wants to clear its inventory ahead of the release of the new Xbox One S.
Microsoft announced on Sunday (24) that it will permanently lower the price of the base model of the Xbox One in the United States. The 500GB version of the console will now cost $249 in North America while stocks last.
It is the third price reduction of the Xbox One console in less than two months: at the end of May the price of the console in the US was $349 to $299, followed by a reduction to $279 in mid June. Now the price is immediately cut down to $249, noting that it would be a temporary reduction while supplies last go.
The offer includes one of the following games: Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition or Rare Replay. This is the third time since May that Microsoft reduces the price of the basic model of the console.
Meanwhile, the Xbox One S (2 TB model) will go on sale on August 2 and will be priced at $399 USD. The console will also have a model with a capacity of 500 GB ($299 USD) and a 1 TB ($349 USD), but these have not yet given any release date.
The new Model of Xbox One S will be smaller than the regular version of the Xbox One and also can play video in 4K.
