On its website, Microsoft shared its financial report for the fiscal quarter that took place between October and December 2018. It revealed that Xbox Live, its online gaming service, has 64 million users per month.

According to Microsoft, every month 64 million users connect to some of the services offered by Xbox Live. This represents an annual growth of 8%. It is worth mentioning that the company did not specify how many of its users have a Gold membership.

It is important to note that this news is not a good indicator to know how many units of Xbox One have been sold since its launch. What we mean is that it takes into account all Xbox Live users, even those who use it on Xbox 360, Windows and mobile. In addition, there are consoles with more than one user, as well as players with more than one console. That said, considering Microsoft’s new focus, it’s a growth that will surely keep its executives happy.

On the other hand, it is also striking that Microsoft’s gaming revenues increased 8% in the last fiscal quarter. In addition, the money obtained from the sale of software and services showed a growth of 31%. It is worth mentioning that the amount generated by the sales of hardware was down 19% compared to the same period of 2017. That is because it was the fiscal period in which the Xbox One X debuted.

And you, what do you think? Do you think that Xbox Live users and the revenues of Microsoft’s gaming division will continue to grow? Tell us in the comments below.
