2K Confirms WWE 2K19 Is Not Coming To Nintendo Switch

WWE 2K19 will bring all its fighter on October 9 to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. However, Nintendo Switch remains out of the ring: 2K has confirmed that the new installment of the saga will not be published on the hybrid platform of Nintendo.

The official press releases did not mention the Nintendo Switch version in any way, prompting some industry insiders to ask for clarification regarding 2K Games. However, a few hours later, the company replied, saying that at the moment there is no version of the game for the Nintendo console.

Here is the official statement distributed by 2K Games:

“WWE 2K19 will not be available on Nintendo Switch. 2K is focused on making the best possible experience for WWE 2K fans and will continue evaluating all opportunities to deliver the franchise across additional platforms.”

The main cause of this absence seems to be due to the bad reception of the game by the press, since on Switch the technical sector of the game is quite problematic. Evidently, the publisher has decided to abandon the project instead of working on optimization.

WWE 2K18 was launched on Switch and was a heavily criticized version, with a 35 note in Metacritic and 1.6 by parts of users. Meanwhile, WWE 2K19 will be published as scheduled on October 9th on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
