Bigben Interactive has confirmed in the course of the day today that WRC 6 will have split-screen multiplayer mode locally. This represents almost a rarity in the modern landscape of videogame for racing games, with a tendency to abandon the split-screen locally in favor of online.

To celebrate this announcement the company has distributed a new trailer where we can have a look at several sequences taken directly from its gameplay in this mode.

In WRC 6 we will encounter the 14 rounds of the 2016 season of WRC, including for the first-time Rally of China, all the drivers of WRC star, and also a wide selection of WRC 2 teams and competitors of Junior WRC category.

In addition, eSports WRC, the first international online competition of WRC, launched in January 2016 with WRC 5, will continue in WRC 6 with improvements in terms of access, rules, and format to be unveiled soon.

Long claimed by the community of fans of racing games, this new game mode makes it possible for two drivers to share the same screen for added fun and challenge. Players can now compete with friends and try to overcome road obstacles to cross the finish line first.

WRC 6 will come to PC, Xbox One and PS4 in October 2016. Discover the split screen mode of WRC 6 in the video below:
