Limited Run Games has announced the retail edition of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap for PlayStation 4, coming this summer in both the Standard version and in a special Collector’s Edition. We now just have to wait to get further details for the price and the exact release date.
DotEmu has announced that Limited Run Games will release this summer a physical edition of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap for PlayStation 4 in Standard version and Collector’s edition, whose content or price has not yet been detailed.
Currently PlayAsia already sells Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap in physical format, but it is an Asian edition that does not include most of the foreign languages. Limited Run Games will be based in the US, so it should include all the languages.
Available from April 18th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch (the PC version will arrive later), Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is a remake of Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap, title published in the late ’80s on PC Engine, SEGA Master System and Game Gear.
Even though the developers have said that they were confident about the possible launch of a retail version of the game, currently the only physical edition confirmed for Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is to Limited Run Games. All that remains is to wait for more details on price and release date.
