Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap physical copies may be released soon
Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, a remake of the original title released on SEGA Master System, could arrive in retail format for the delight of fans.
Interviewed by the site Hey Poor Player, the developers of Lizardcube said they were confident about the possible launch of a retail version of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, title released last April on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
These are the words of Omar Cornut about it: “With DotEmu we are now working on doing physical releases. There is an edition we are planning for Asian markets first (China/Korea) and then planning other things for the west, some deals are very close to happening so it may happen soon. We are probably going to do PS4 first because it is easier, while trying to figure out how we can do Switch cartridges.”
The announcement was shared by the game developers, Lizardcube, who are seeking an agreement with DotEmu to achieve the physical version of the title.
In particular, the studio has revealed that the first retail edition that will, most likely will be for the PlayStation 4. We invite you to await for further news on this case.
Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is a remake of Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap, title released in the late 80s for the SEGA Master System, PC Engine and Game Gear. The game is now available in digital format on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, the PC edition will come later in the year.
