Sony has announced that Wipeout Omega Collection will also be released in Steelbook Edition, to the delight of collectors: to get this version just pre-order the game. The release date is set for the month of June 7 exclusively on PlayStation 4.
Next June WipEout Omega Collection will hit stores, a collection dedicated to the popular arcade racing game series of Sony that will contain within it the two episodes for PlayStation 3, WipEout HD and Fury, and the remaster episode of PlayStation Vita, WipEout 2048.
The title will boast a large amount of content as well 26 tracks, 48 cars, several game modes and a soundtrack in part unpublished, and will support both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.
The release was not known very much until a few days ago but now the official twitter account of Sony Xdev Europe has unbuttoned letting it be known that the pre-order of WipEout Omega Collection will offer a chance to get a Steelbook in retro flavor.
As you can see in the tweet at the bottom of this news, Sony Xdev Europe has published an image of steelbook of Wipeout Omega Collection for PS4, edition that can be purchased by pre-ordering the game.
Recall that the Collection includes updated versions of Wipeout HD (collection of Wipeout Pulse and Wipeout Pure), Wipeout Fury and Wipeout 2048, not to mention support for 4K resolution on PS4 Pro.
