Enter the dark world of vampires accompanied by the distressing notes of (Don’t Fear) The Reaper with a new Story Trailer of Vampyr, the new Action-RPG developed by Dontnod Entertainment, that will be released on June 5 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Today a new Story Trailer is revealed showing some highlights of the game’s narrative, accompanied by a distressing cover of (Don’t Fear) The Reaper. Coming back from the front, Dr. Jonathan Reid awakens in a war-torn London and pestilence, discovering a world of evil creatures, secret societies, and vampire hunting.
In Vampyr, you play the role of Jonathan Reid in London of 1918 who, upon returning from the Great War, discovers that he has been turned into a vampire. All his convictions are overwhelmed by the discovery of the existence of a new dark world, where supernatural creatures and secret societies live together in the shadows … and now he too is part of it.
Rediscovering a vampire distraught by an irrepressible thirst for blood and catapulted into this strange new world, Reid tries to interpret everything in the best way he knows: with rational thought. Unfortunately, among secret societies, mysterious murders and an imminent hunt for large-scale vampires, his scientific certainties will be put to the test.
Driven by a personal desire to find out who caused his transformation into a vampire, and why, Jonathan Reid continues to work to find a cure for the devastating epidemic that is decimating the population. But in doing so, he will also find himself having to face his vampire nature and the terrible temptation to feed on those he has sworn to protect.
