It is not a secret that the series of Uncharted is one of the most important video game franchises in the industry. For this reason, we believe that you will not be surprised to learn that it has been a success in the market, selling 41.7 million copies.

This data was revealed in the panel of the 10th anniversary of Uncharted that took place this weekend in the PlayStation Experience 2017. Also, it was specified that it is a figure that takes into account all releases of the franchise, including titles for PlayStation Vita and The Nathan Drake Collection.

It is important to note that, by May 2016, the Uncharted franchise had sold 28 million units. This means that the release of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy has helped the franchise sell 13.7 million units in recent months.

Along with this information, Naughty Dog shared a special art to celebrate the 10 years of Uncharted history. In it, we see some of the most emblematic characters and objects of the main titles of the franchise. You can check it in the image posted above

While it is one of the most important series of PlayStation, the reality is that at this time the future of Uncharted is uncertain. What we mean is that, although Naughty Dog does not disclose whether it will work again on this franchise, it has also shown interest in focusing on different projects.

In addition, it is important to point out that A Thief’s End was announced as the last title starring Nathan Drake, so all the supposed future titles would follow a line similar to that of The Lost Legacy.
