Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Creative Director Leaves Naughty Dog To Probably Work on New Avengers Game
It seems that in the Californian company some of the great minds are deciding to take new professional paths after finishing with the Uncharted saga as we know it, and it is that after the departure of director Bruce Straley, is now the turn of its creative director, Shaun Escayg, who left Naughty Dog.
It has been through his social networks where Escayg himself has communicated to his followers that after 7 years when he joined the Naughty Dog team for a project still in its infancy, The Last of Us, it’s time to say goodbye.
After the work of Ellie and Joel came Left Behind, Uncharted 4 and finally The Lost Legacy, projects where he claims to have put his body and soul so that it would turn out well; now he assures with affection that he will miss “all his dogs”, making a play on words with the name of the company.
Although on his Twitter account he has not indicated where he will go after his departure from Naughty Dog, but if we access his Instagram account we can see that he will effectively start working on the new Avengers video game, which is being developed by Square Enix.
The departure of Shawn Escayg added to that of Straley or Amy Hennig at the time, makes it clear that Naughty Dog will have new leaders for the next projects of the company. It is hoped, however, that this does not affect The Last of Us 2, the next production of the company that will be released exclusively for PlayStation 4.
Seven years ago I joined the talented team at @Naughty_Dog on a project still in its infancy, The Last Of Us. Well, the rest is history. Left Behind, Uncharted 4 were fleeting and Uncharted The Lost Legacy pushed my creative growth even further- I will miss all my dogs.
