Since before Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End came into the market, Naughty Dog announced that it would have free content for multiplayer but did not give many details. One of the surprises they had prepared was the Survival mode, which will soon arrive as exclusively for PlayStation 4.
It is a cooperative mode where you and two friends can face several waves of powerful enemies and objectives. As noted by Naughty Dog on the PlayStation Blog, it will be a form that will be familiar to those who know the Arena mode of Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3.
Survival mode will feature 50 waves of enemies in 10 maps, in which you will face different types of soldiers of Shoreline (Brutes, Snipers, Hunters, etc) which will become more powerful and violent with each surge. Also, each time you complete 10 hordes of enemies, you will have to face an intense battle against a boss inspired by the stories of pirates of A Thief’s End.
Also, the new mode for Uncharted 4 will feature a progression system where you can get upgrades for your weapons and items that will give you an advantage. On the other hand, those who manage to overcome Survival on Hard mode will unlock the ultimate challenge: Crushing Mode, which is the ultimate test of your will and determination.
According to Naughty Dog, those will who attend PlayStation Experience may also try Survival mode. Finally, the studio confirmed that this mode for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will debut in mid-December.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End debuted in May exclusively for PlayStation 4 and it is the most nominated title in The Game Awards 2016.
