Brian Horton, one of the directors of Rise of the Tomb Raider, the successful work of Crystal Dynamics, recently announced through his personal Twitter account that he was preparing to join the expected Spider-Man of Insomniac Games from January 1 next year.
Horton is a veteran of the industry, who debuted in 1994 in Disney Interactive. He subsequently collaborated with companies such as Electronic Arts, DreamWorks interactive, The Collective, and Vivendi, before joining Crystal Dynamics in 2009, where he worked for Rise of the Tomb Raider, and subsequently at Infinity Ward, as Creative Director for the campaign of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
Now he will put his incredible baggage of experience at the service of the new work of Insomniac Games.
According to reports, after taking on the role of game director in Rise of the Tomb Raider, Mr. Horton will take over the position of design director in Spider-Man. It is unknown at the moment if this sudden hiring can have any noticeable impact on what we can expect from Spider-Man, be it at the level of the game or in other aspects, such as the one yet to be announced.
We remember that a couple of months ago we received a spectacular trailer for Spider-Man to celebrate the Paris Games Week. In the same trailer, we could see how the visual section of the game was once again on display, at the same time confirming the presence of great regular characters (and newcomers) of the saga.
Spider-Man will be released exclusively on PlayStation 4 during 2018. Famous cartoonists such as Dan Slott and Christos Gage are also participating in the writing of the story, and in a recent speech, the developers talked about the fidelity of the character and the animation system.
