The first Titanfall was a shooter with a number of striking features. There were of course the big titans that gave you a feeling of power, the ability to wall run but it was a multiplayer only mode.

The latter was especially unfortunate for lone-players. In Titanfall 2 things are completely different, according to lead writer Jesse Stern, “One of the shortcomings of the first game was we just did not have the mechanism to tell everyone ‘here’s who you are, here’s where you are and who’s around you.’ We knew all the answers, we just could not deliver it.”

Respawn Entertainment was a start-up when they came up with Titanfall. The company therefore did not have the opportunity to work on both a single-player and multiplayer mode.

And not only that. Stern tells Forbes that the multiplayer is a lot better than in part 1 and it can be also enjoyed on other platforms. “These (Titanfall 2) is widely available. I think on all platforms, “said Stern.

Stern also had to report some news about a TV series that is associated with Titanfall 2. He was able to report that it is made in association with Lionsgate TV, responsible for producing or having a hand in producing shows like Orange Is The New Black and Nashville.

When Titanfall 2 is coming out is not yet clear. But it is probably at the end of 2016 or early 2017. And not only on Xbox One, but also on other platforms.
