The CEO of Respawn Entertainment, Vince Zampella said that Titanfall 2 itself will have one day patch; however, this will be so small that it will get downloaded very fast to enjoy the action game without having to remove any of the data on your console.

Titanfall 2 is about to arrive on the store shelves and, as it is now traditional for almost all modern triple-A titles, the game also signed by Respawn Entertainment that will receive a patch of day one.

Through Twitter, Zampella joked: “Clear some space on your [hard drive], the Titanfall 2 day one patch is… 88 MB.” Something the manager did not say was what features will the patch will have or what things it will benefit in the game.

To put this figure in contrast, we need to only recall the case of Halo 5: Guardians, which had a first update of 9 GB, while Gears of War 4 that was recently launched had 11GB update size in its day one patch. In these cases, developers decided not to delay the game’s release, and use the weeks between the Gold phase and the release date is announced to tune the game.

The opposite was true with Final Fantasy XV, as Square Enix has proposed not to launch a huge patch on launch day and therefore decided to delay the debut date of the expected title.

Titanfall 2 will hit stores this week, on October 28. Are you already ready for this release? Do let us know in the comment section below.
