This morning, Respawn Entertainment announced that the next multiplayer beta of Titanfall 2 will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gaming consoles only.
Titanfall 2 is one of the most anticipated titles for this present 2016 year. And if just a few days ago there was some news about the story mode, today we get latest news about the multiplayer beta which will take place at some point before the launch of title.
Through its official blog, the studio explained that the purpose of this test is to examine the game servers, and assess whether it works properly, for which it is not necessary to play it on all versions.
“More platforms can be a good sanity check, but we don’t need to test them all to make sure we are on a good path for launch,” said President of Respawn, Vince Zampella.
In addition, Respawn said that for now they must work more on hardware compatibility, and optimize the game for low-end computers.
“Currently the PC game isn’t as easy to throw out for testing as the console is, because of the additional variables and configurations that we need to support,” he said.
Finally, the developer said that given “the wonderful curiosity” of the players, a beta for PC could cause people to find spoilers in the game code.
The multiplayer beta of Titanfall 2 does not have a start date till now. Meanwhile, the full game will hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 28.
