Third Party, Unlicensed Nintendo Labo Guitar Available Soon

One of the main objectives of Nintendo Labo is that players use it as a way to exploit their creativity when making new toys with cardboard. That said, there are those who have taken advantage of it to earn a little money. Some of the people in the last category work for Paly, a Chinese company that launched a Nintendo Labo kit without a license from Nintendo.

A few hours ago, a Reddit user discovered that a Japanese online store is offering a kit to make a cardboard guitar and use it with Nintendo Labo. This package is offered for a price of ¥1990 JPY (approximately $18 USD) and, as you will see above, it includes cardboard and elastic bands to make a cardboard guitar.

Keep in mind that this project is clearly inspired by the guitar that Nintendo showed a couple of weeks ago on YouTube. This means that, in addition to assembling the cardboard instrument, it will be necessary to use the Toy-Con Garage to program a functional guitar. So, it is essential that you own an official Nintendo Labo kit before you can have fun with this product.

We took advantage of the fact that we talked about Labo to tell you that it was the best-selling game of the week in Japan; however, it only shipped 30% of its initial shipment and did not increase Switch’s sales. On the other hand, we believe that you will be interested to know that there are institutions interested in its potential as an educational tool.

Nintendo Labo is already available in the United States, Japan and other parts of the world. Do you want to see how it looks? You can check image we have presented at the top of this news. What do you think about it? Do you think more companies will launch similar products? Tell us in the comments below.
