Under the panel of PAX West 2016, Telltale Games has announced that the third season of The Walking Dead will be called A New Frontier.
The third season of The Walking Dead of Telltale is officially called The Walking Dead: A Telltale Series – A New Frontier, announced during the developer conference at PAX West on Friday.
The studio also revealed that the game will be available for consoles, PC, Mac and mobile in November 2016. At the same time, Telltale will launch a physical format edition of the game, which will include the first chapter and a code to download the rest of the season.
A New Frontier begins 4 years after the zombie infection that led to the events of the first season, and its protagonists are Javier, a new character in the series, and Clementine, leading figure of the previous installments.
“This third new season will serve as both a continuation of what’s come before in our story, as well as an all-new beginning set nearly four years after the outbreak events of Season One,” said Kevin Bruner, cofounder and CEO of Telltale Games, in a statement. “As a harrowing and horrific drama, ‘A New Frontier’ will explore beyond what it means to survive in a world ravaged by the undead, and will see our characters confronting the new rules of order and justice in a land being brutally reclaimed and rediscovered by what’s left of humanity itself.”
