The Quiet Man Story and Concept Clues Revealed By Square Enix
Although Square Enix did not present many surprises in E3 2018, it did reveal a project that left us with many doubts: The Quiet Man. The studio only shared a mysterious teaser trailer, which did not give many details about the project.
If you expected news from The Quiet Man, you should know that its producer Kensei Fujinaga shared a message that gives some clues about the game concept. Through the Twitter account of the game, the developer shared the first of several publications, which will help us understand what awaits us in this project.
Fujinaga spoke about the words and how important they are; However, he is convinced that we can create connections that go beyond them.
“Words” are truly amazing. They possess the power even to change the world. This is undeniable. For me personally, words are as precious as they are valuable. That said, I believe we as humans are capable of connections that transcend words—for example, an infant need only to look into his mother’s eyes to know he is safe and loved,” the creative wrote.
In the revelation trailer, we saw a boy who did not use words, because apparently, he cannot hear. Everything indicates that the proposal of the game involves communicating with others and establishing relationships without just words.
“Words shape consciousness; indeed, some even say that “words are life.” But what if we were to cast aside such a life? What if somehow, we were able to understand one another through connections formed heart to heart, soul to soul, and could once again look into one another’s eyes and form a bond so pure? This concept lies at the core of The Quiet Man,” added Fujinaga.
For the moment, we know that The Quiet Man will be an action title focused on the narrative. The company will reveal more details about this project in August. In that month we hope to know specific details of its story, as well as its game mechanics. Remember that you can already visit the game’s official website.
The Quiet Man is in development for PlayStation 4 and PC.
