While The Outer Worlds, the new and long-awaited title of Obsidian Entertainment, will be the last title that the studio releases as a third party in a long time because it will now create content for Xbox Game Studios, the relationship with the Microsoft games division begins to be seen as a report revealed that the title will have an important difference in its version of Xbox One X compared to that of PS4 Pro.

According to a report by Windows Central, a representative of the Private Division, the company responsible for publishing and distributing The Outer Worlds, informed the website that the game will have the expected improvements for Xbox One X, but in the case of PlayStation 4 Pro, it will not be so.

“4K on Xbox One, no enhancements for PS4 Pro” the spokesperson for the company said although he did not reveal the reason why this decision was made. Except for the confirmation given at the time of launch, if this is true it would mean that the best versions in terms of graphics performance of The Outer Worlds will be on PC and Xbox One X, relegating to the improved Sony platform that will have the same performance in the case of PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro.

The Outer Worlds will release on October 25 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass on that same date.
