The Nightmare from Beyond is a new title of horror that combines the mechanics of platformer. Developed by The Domaginarium, the game is scheduled to launch on PC, PS4 and PS Vita, although it has no release date yet.
The Nightmare from Beyond is inspired by the different works of the writer HP Lovecraft, in relation to the myths of Cthulhu. The theme of the game will focus, in this way, on corruption and immorality.
“When we started The Domaginarium back in 2011, the goal was to create games with deep and challenging stories,” said Sergio Rosa, designer and writer behind the game. “With The Nightmare from Beyond, we’ll continue to deliver intriguing stories that people unveil by playing and exploring the environment.””
The players will take the role of Sanja, a young girl of the D’nyg race, looking for her twin sister, Dajana. Along with her, the players will discover why her sister was kidnapped and what is the location of the action.
In this way, you will have to explore different scenarios, from labyrinthine zones to mysterious ancient temples. On the other hand, players will find different artifacts that will help them gain new skills and, thus, reach new areas to learn more about the game universe.
The studio has distributed a new trailer where the players can see the different locations and atmosphere with which the title will be accounted:
