Today, through a short video, Eiji Aonuma has announced the Expansion Pass of The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. This is the first time that Nintendo undertook an initiative for the series, and the public on the net immediately had mixed reactions. And about you, what do you think?
The Expansion Pass of The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild will be priced at $20/£18 and will allow players to access a variety of bonus content that will come out in the course of 2017, and obtain exclusive items right now.
The first expansion of the game is scheduled for the summer and the challenge of Cave of Trials, hard mode for the game and a new map feature unspecified. The second is planned for the Christmas period and will add a new dungeon, the challenges and scenarios for the story.
Both expansions will be available both on the Nintendo Switch and Wii U. It’s no wonder that fans of the series were amazed by this news, and which have expressed uncertainty or disappointment on the net: it seems that Nintendo is ready to follow the same pattern of competing companies, proposing expansions, DLC and Season Pass for their titles, starting with their highly anticipated new installment of the Legend of Zelda.
And for you, what do you think? Do you agree with this choice, or would you prefer that the house of Kyoto maintained a more traditional model for its games? Do share your opinion in the comment section below.
