The Last of Us: Part 2 Delayed to 2020, According to Jason Schreier
The Last of Us: Part 2 is one of the most anticipated games for PlayStation 4 and one of the games that still has no release date.
Several rumors have pointed to its release in 2019, but Sony Interactive Entertainment and Naughty Dog may have changed their minds and decided to put another title later this year – Death Stranding. As we wait for the trailer for Hideo Kojima’s new game, PlayStation Taiwan may have revealed more about the game and confirmed the launch for 2019, which means that Death Stranding will be Sony’s great end-of-year launch.
However, this leaves us thinking about The Last of Us: Part 2 and the consistent rumors that put it as an autumn release, more specifically in October 2019. According to Jason Schreier, who often reveals information before the official announcement, The Last of Us: Part 2 will arrive only in February 2020.
Schreier reacted to the revelation of the date of Death Stranding by PlayStation Taiwan and adds that The Last of Us: Part 2 was even planned for the autumn of 2019, but the title will now arrive in 2020. It’s worth noting that Naughty Dog has not confirmed anything yet. Therefore, this information needs to be treated with due caution.
With Death Stranding in November and The Last of Us: Part 2 possibly in February 2020, the last year of the PlayStation 4 promises to become especially intense. Sucker Punch is still working on Ghost of Tsushima, which is still unpredicted for now.
Looks like Death Stranding is about to get announced for a November release. The Last of Us 2 was also planned for fall 2019 but I actually just heard it got bumped to early 2020, possibly February? Either way, wild final year for PS4 https://t.co/wh6kimA73b
