After experiencing one of the best years in terms of video games, 2018 seems to start with the same inertia and to show is a new artwork that appeared on the official site of genDESIGN, a studio led by Fumito Ueda who has given us memorable games such as ICO, Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian.
As part of the New Year celebrations, the official website of genDESIGN published a congratulatory message that includes the official logo of the studio and the desire for 2018 to be a fruitful year.
However, the length of the publication draws attention and as we descend there reveals a ray of light, accompanied by several birds, which ends up illuminating a woman resting on an altar and on the right you can see the presence of a giant creature.
This new-year message and the artwork revealed by the director of The Last Guardian ignited the fans’ hype and many are already beginning to speculate on what could be a clue to the upcoming title of Fumito Ueda. We’ll have to wait for official information, but without a doubt, it’s a great way to start the year.
In addition, we must remember that Fumito Ueda revealed that his next title will bring back the mechanics of Shadow of the Colossus and recently genDESIGN began hiring staff for a new project.
