Sony has announced that The Last Guardian will not launch on October 25, just as planned initially, so that their new release date becomes the December 6.
This year’s least surprising postponement was just confirmed on the PlayStation Blog. We’re talking about Sony and Team ICOs eternity project, The Last Guardian, but fortunately it has already got a new date.
As it was explained by the own Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Computer Entertainment, the delay is because the development team has found many more bugs and programming errors than they expected, so they need some more time for polishing the development of the product.
The new release date is therefore necessary to allow all fans to enjoy the best experience sought and desired by the development team.
It is the new game from the creator of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus which is set in a mystical land and follows in the footsteps of a young man who discovers a mysterious creature with which it forms an unbreakable friendship. Both should help each other to climb dangerous ruins.
Recall that The Last Guardian was originally announced in 2009 for the PlayStation 3, and then experienced serious production problems that led to the closure of Team Ico and Fumito Ueda output from Sony. The game returned to the limelight in 2015 after being revealed for the PlayStation 4, and this year received a release date of October 28.
