At the end of 2018, SNK confirmed that a new installment of The King of Fighters was in development, but since that time no other mention had been made about the title that, according to the Japanese company, will be released in 2020. However, The EVO 2019 framework was very tempting to pass up and The King of Fighters XV had a brief space at the event.

After the end of the Street Fighter V tournament in EVO 2019, fans of the fighting games were waiting for the surprises that would be revealed before continuing hostilities. It was then that SNK took the event for a moment and presented a brief teaser of The King of Fighters XV, in which it points out that the game is still in development.

There was information circulating in recent days that the company had communicated the new project to its shareholders at the most recent meeting with them. However, nothing has been officially disclosed to the public and the press. The reason was clear on Sunday. The announcement was made during the 2019 edition of EVO, the world’s largest fighting game event.

Unfortunately, beyond what is the official logo of the title, no more information was revealed or images were shown that account for its graphics style.

Thus, there is nothing left but to wait for upcoming announcements by SNK around The King of Fighters XV, a new title expected by the large community of players who have been aware of the franchise for more than 2 decades.
