The King of Fighters XIV, released last August on PlayStation 4, will arrive on Steam. SNK has announced it during a press conference in China.
Yasuyuki Oda, who was on stage at the time of the announcement, said that reservations would open during the month of May for this PC version, which should coincide with the closed beta phase to carry out various tests on the network side. No release date has been confirmed yet.
This version will enter into closed beta and will be available for pre-order this month. There is no mention about the possibility of cross-game between systems.
The King of Fighters XIV offers a 3 to 3 battle system, which allows users to choose from over 50 different fighters in the game to create their own group. In recent weeks its characters has expanded with the addition of Whip, Ryuji Yamazaki and Vanessa.
With this announcement, the publisher continues its long tradition of porting on PC that was started for several years. We would naturally wish that this Steam version includes directly the downloadable contents available since early April, including characters like Rock, Whip or Vanessa, but we will have to content ourselves for the moment with these meager information.
