Xbox Studio The Initiative Hires Former God of War & Naughty Dog Developers

The first-party studio associated with Xbox and Microsoft, nicknamed The Initiative, has been hiring new developers for its staff. Many of its recent additions have been several developers belonging to the teams of God of War and Naughty Dog.
The company was introduced in June 2018 with the aim of creating intricate and ambitious experiences for Xbox. In addition to the former creatives of the Ghost of Sparta saga, The Initiative has formed a very prestigious group that has participated in numerous renowned games.
God of War level designers: Ian Miller, Kai Zheng, Chris O’Neill and Ray Yeomans have joined this new group. Apart from their abundant experience in the exclusive titles of Sony, they have also been able to work on the development of the Tomb Raider series.
Many more renowned personalities are committing to The Initiative. Daniel Neuburger, director of Tomb Raider and Robert Ryan, former Naughty Dog developer, the Uncharted development studio, have also joined the project.
With this new studio, Microsoft has been reinforced to a large extent thanks to the hiring of more than qualified personnel with which to continue creating exclusive and video games for its console. The experience of members who have participated in such successful titles as God of War or Uncharted can be crucial in creating new and flashy games.
With the launch of Project Scarlett on the horizon, Xbox and in particular, Microsoft has been the protagonists having announced new details of its cloud gaming system, Project xCloud. The US company has announced the release date for the trial version of its streaming service.
