It is likely that on more than one occasion you have heard someone older saying that video games leave nothing good. If so, we recommend that the next time you see him tell him the story of Kyle “Bugha” Giersdor, a 16-year-old who is now a millionaire thanks to his winning a championship in Fortnite: Battle Royale.

As you can imagine, the event in which Bugha was champion is not just any tournament and it is the Fortnite World Cup, an event that took place this weekend at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, venue based in New York, United States. There, the teenager stood out with his aggressive style of play that allowed him to become a favorite since the first rounds.

Thanks to his good performance, Bugha finished in first place with 59 points, much more than his compatriots Psalm (33 points) and Epikwhale (32 points) who got to take second and third place respectively. Now you are likely to wonder, how were they rewarded for their efforts? The answer is: with a lot of money. For being the Fortnite World Cup champion, Bugha received $3 million USD, while Pslam earned $1.8 million USD and Epikwhale will return home with $ 1.2 million USD.

However, the individual category was not the only one that was played in the Fortnite World Cup since there was also a tournament for teams of 2 players. In it, the champions were Nyhrox and Aqua, who scored 51 points and received a prize of $3 million USD. In second place we had the team made up of Rojo and Wolfiez, who were left with 47 points.
