Released almost four years ago, Tales of Xillia 2 is still one of the most beloved chapters of the Bandai Namco series, as well as one of the recent JRPGs most often remembered by fans. It would not surprise, therefore, a possible return of the game in question on the new generation platforms in some form, perhaps a sort of remaster.
As reported on ResetERA, the Swiss retailer CeDe.ch has included in its list Tales of Xillia 2 for PlayStation 4, a title never announced by Bandai Namco. Is the game going to release on the latest Sony console?
Tales of Xillia 2 was released in 2014 on PlayStation 3, enjoying a good success with audiences and critics, especially in Asia, where the Tales of series is particularly appreciated by the players.
The inclusion of the game in a retailer’s list would suggest a possible announcement of a remake or a remastered version, although Bandai Namco has not yet announced anything about it. It could obviously be an error, but considering the importance of the game and the absence of a backward compatible feature on PlayStation 4, a reissue could exist.
Could it be possible that the publisher will announce Tales of Xillia 2 for PlayStation 4 in the coming weeks, or maybe at the E3 2018 in Los Angeles? This is certainly a possibility, we will update as soon as we have news about it.
