System Shock Remastered reaches its goal on Kickstarter

Good news for the fans of System Shock! Through Twitter, Nightdive Studios reported that the project in Kickstarter already has the funding needed to the reality of System Shock Remastered.

On June 28, Nightdive Studios launched Kickstarter campaign to seek $900,000 USD, necessary for the development of System Shock Remastered. Now, after more than 10 days, the studio was able to overcome the collection that was aimed.

“There’s no possible way I could convey how grateful the Nightdive team is to the 14,000+ backers who put their trust in us,” said Stephen Kick, CEO of nightdive Studios. “We’re having a lot of fun remaking System Shock and we owe it all to you! ”

At the time of writing this, the Kickstarter of System Shock Remastered already has reached $929,866 USD and subtract. Other goals set by the studio have to do with a version for Mac and Linux version; support for multiple languages, such as French, German, Italian and Spanish; new locations and extended narrative; game design improvements; and more.

Nightdive Studios is also working on System Shock 3 from 2015. Even the team has in its ranks with Warren Spector, producer of Deus Ex and System Shock, who will help in developing the new game.

System Shock Remastered will be available for Xbox One and PC next year.
