SuperData Reveals Top Digital Distribution Games in October 2017

293

SuperData analysts have published a list of the games that generated the most revenue on consoles, mobile phones, and PCs during October. The increase was 15% compared to the same month last year.

Some of the reasons for this increase are due to Destiny 2 in BattleNet, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds or some mobile game like Honor of Kings. Also, keep in mind that this year Switch was launched and Super Mario Odyssey has achieved 191,000 units sold in digital distribution.

The entire digital retail market for October earned was $8.5 billion. A year ago, the figure was $1.1 billion less. The main driver of growth: the premium segment of PC and mobile games.

The first jumped by 28% compared to last year, thanks to the release of Destiny 2 and the ongoing crusade of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, for October, that gained another 5 million units.
