As part of its financial report for the third quarter of the current fiscal year, Electronic Arts shared some details about the projects it is preparing. Among them is the release date of the Star Wars title that Respawn Entertainment, a studio known for its work on Titanfall, is preparing.
In a presentation, Blake Jorgensen, the financial director of Electronic Arts, mentioned that he expects Star Wars of Respawn to be one of his titles for the fiscal year 2020. This means that the distributor’s objective is to debut the game between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2020; however, there is always the possibility of a delay.
At the moment, Electronic Arts has kept most of the details about this project secret. The only thing we know is that it is an action game that is developed by a team led by Stig Asmussen, a creative best known for his work as director of God of War III.
In other news, Electronic Arts confirmed that Star Wars: Battlefront II has sold 9 million copies since its debut in November 2017. Recall that its goal is to sell 14 million copies before the end of this fiscal year, so the controversial project was not so far from its goal. On the other hand, we think you’ll be interested to know that the distributor has already confirmed that Anthem will not arrive this year.
