It was during the CitizenCon that Cloud Imperium Games has unveiled more information about Squadron 42, the story mode of Star Citizen, including the cast of the play.
The studio has announced the presence of 16 players gathered for a 5-star cast including some who already worked on a video game. We find particular actor Gary Oldman, known for his roles of Sirius Black in the Harry Potter and James Gordon in the film Batman of Christopher Nolan’s. In the video game, the actor became famous in the Call of Duty series in the role of Viktor Reznov. He will play as admiral Ernest Bishop.
We also note the presence of Mark Hamill, known worldwide for his role as Luke Skywalker in the first Star Wars trilogy, which will be on show at the 7th episode of the cult saga, he is also known for his roles in video games as Wing Commander III or as the Joker in Batman Arkham City for example. Andy Serkis, who became famous through his roles using the motion-capture performance as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings and Caesar in the latest movies Planet Monkey. He also starred in the video game, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. He will be, like Hamill, showing of Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens
Some other roles are known, Gillian Anderson (X-Files) interprets the daughter of admiral Bishop, Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones) interprets the Captain White and Ian Duncan (Broken News) plays the main protagonist of the adventure.
Mark Strong (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Sophie Wu (Kick-Ass), Craig Fairbrass (Cliffhanger) Ben Mendelsohn (The Dark Knight Rises), Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire), John Rhys-Davies (The Lord of the Rings) Rhona Mitra (The Last Ship), Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones), Harry Treadaway (The Lone Ranger) and Sandi Gardiner (Welcome to the Jungle) are all part of the cast but their roles have not been announced.
Star Citizen is still scheduled for 2016 release on PC.
