Star Citizen Alpha 3.0 Download Available Now

Cloud Imperium Games has announced that the Alpha 3.0.0 of Star Citizen is available starting today December 23 for all users who have financially supported the title.
Players can now access the Persistent Universe, the three moons of Crusader, and a new mission and cargo systems. The wait was long, but the time spent was exploited to better test this version before its official launch, although the developers said that there is still work to be done on the side of optimizing performance.
As announced a few months ago, from now on the team will focus on publishing smaller updates on a quarterly basis, rather than on large updates.
Meanwhile, in recent days the teaser trailer of Squadron 42 has been published – the single player module of Star Citizen -, starring Mark Hamill (interpreter of Luke Skywalker, in theaters these days with Star Wars: The Last Jedi). The team also took the opportunity to reveal the minimum system requirements that you can check below.
Squadron 42 PC System Requirements:
Operating System: Windows 7 (64bit) with Service Pack 1, Windows 8 (64bit), Windows 10 – Anniversary Update (64bit)
Video Card : DirectX 11 with 2GB RAM (4GB strongly recommended)
Processor: Quad Core CPU
RAM memory: 16GB+
Drive: SSD strongly recommended
To judge from what is reported, these are requirements in line with those of Triple-A titles currently on the market or soon to be published. Perhaps, the only pitfalls for gaming machines of some users may be a large amount of RAM required, and the recommendation on the use of an SSD (nothing forbids using a common HDD).
