Square Enix Trademarks Secret of Mana, Mystic Quest and Final Fantasy Adventure

Square-Enix has recently registered trademarks in Europe for the series of Secret of Mana. In particular (besides obviously to the latter), the copyrights relating to a certain “Final Fantasy Adventure” and “Mystic Quest” have been also trademarked.

The first title in the series of Mana was released in Japan in 1991 on Game Boy and was called “Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden.” As for the West, in the United States it always came in 1991 with the title of Final Fantasy Adventure, while in Europe it was released two years later, in 1993, under the name of Mystic Quest.

The sequel to the game, is what in the West is known as Secret of Mana, released on Super Nintendo in America and Europe respectively in 1993 and 1994, and also received a 3D remake on PlayStation 4, PS Vita and PC in February 2018.

So does this mean that a new game could be coming in the series? It’s still early to say. But these are not the only trademarks registered by the software house in the last period, since Square Enix has also trademarked the copyright of the mysterious Slash Field in the United States.

It is not the first time that we hear the title, which was actually registered in Japan last November. Nothing has yet been revealed about it, but it seems at this point that there are plans to bring the project to the West.

What could it be? Waiting for new information, we invite you to stay on our pages, where we will tell you about the latest news about it as soon as there will be more information about it.
