Within the frame of Gamescom 2016, Square Enix announced that Nier: Automata, game that was first exclusive to PlayStation 4, will also come to PC early next year. Now, Square Enix has talked about the possibility of releasing this game on Xbox One and also on the next Nintendo system, the NX.
Thus, DualShockers spoke with producer Yosuke Saito, who clarified this point, explaining that the only way Nier: Automata can reach Xbox One and NX is if the game is a global success, and so accordingly, the studio did not close this possibility.
Saito went on to say that from the beginning of development, the team considered launching the game to Steam, but the situation with Xbox One and NX can only be known in the future, as the company has no plans at this time to make these ports. Remember that the PC version is in the hands of Platinum Games.
This sequel to the popular NieR tells the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2 and their struggle to regain the dystopian world filled with powerful machines
The invaders from another world attack without warning, unleashing on the human race their devastating weapons: mechanical life forms. Faced with this overwhelming threat, humanity is forced to flee to Earth to take refuge on the Moon.
Humans are quick to form a resistance to reclaim their planet. To match for the invaders machines, the resistance deploys a new unit on the battlefield, composed of android soldiers named YoRHa.
At the moment, we should expect more details about Nier: Automata, a title to debut on PlayStation 4 and PC in early 2017, with no precise date of release time.
