The E3 2018 is coming, and all major manufacturers and publishers will be in Los Angeles to unveil their future games. Most of the major studios will hold a physical conference in California, but Square Enix is a little apart like Nintendo by announcing a showcase.
Surprisingly, Square-Enix announced the E3 Showcase scheduled for Monday 11 June at 1 PM PT/ 18:00 BST time, the same day of the Bethesda and Ubisoft conferences. The producer has also opened an official website with countdown and links to accompany the presentation, which will be broadcast in English and Japanese.
Square-Enix has not revealed anything about the contents of the show, during which we will see “a special video presentation to discover the exciting future of Square Enix,” it is not clear at the moment if the showcase will be live or if it will be a presentation recorded in the style of the Nintendo Direct.
In all likelihood the Japanese publisher will use this opportunity to reveal new details on Kingdom Hearts III (including probably the release date) and Final Fantasy VII Remake, almost certainly the presentation will also contain new revelations on Shadow of the Tomb Raider, a game that should show up with the first official gameplay trailer.
The presentation of new original IPs is not excluded, although at the moment there are no direct confirmations.
